How do I place an order for a custom cake or a wedding cake?

When should I place my order order?

For all custom orders, we require at least 1-2 weeks notice. Weekends fill out fast, so please book early to avoid disappointment. For wedding cakes, we recommend booking 2-3 months in advance. Our To-Go Cakes require at least 24 hours notice, earlier the better. Please visit our custom cake page for more details.

How does custom cake pricing work?

Our custom cake pricing is based off cake size and design complexity.

You can check out our creations on Facebook or our Instagram or feel free to check out Google or Pinterest as well!

How should I serve my cake?

Our cakes are best served at room temperature. If you choose to refrigerate your cake, please allow your cake to sit out at room temperature for 2-4 hours prior to serving. Please keep your cake out of direct sunlight. If you are serving your cakes or cupcakes for the next day, please keep it refrigerated the night before and take it out 2-4 hours prior to serving.

How can I receive the order?

You can either pickup in the store with no extra charge, or have it delivered to you. For a courier delivery, we charge $18 CAD within the tri-city area. Please choose your preferred option during checkout.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we offer eggless options, gluten friendly and vegan options for our cakes and cupcakes. We are a kitchen that has gluten, dairy and nut products so there’s always the risk that cross-contamination may occur. We cannot be held responsible for allergic outbreaks. Please contact us directly via email info@cakesnsweets.ca or call us at 604.475.7765 to place your order. We offer vegetarian and gluten friendly High Tea as well.

How can I make a High Tea reservation?

Please give us a call at 604.475.7765 to book your High Tea reservation. We offer High Tea Tuesday to Saturday at 12pm, 2pm, & 4pm. Each seating is 1 hour & 45 minutes.

What is your payment policy?

We require a 50% deposit for all custom orders to confirm your order. Remaining 50% will be paid upon pickup. All delivery orders and online orders must be paid in full. Wedding cakes require a 50% deposit and remaining 50% must be paid 7 days prior to wedding day.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans may change and we will try our best to assist in making changes to your order.
If you are cancelling within 7+ days prior to scheduled pick up, we will cancel and refund your payment. If you are cancelling within less than 7 days notice prior to scheduled pickup and we have started working on your cake, we have the right to reserve 50% of your order. If you’re cancelling with less than 7 days notice and we have not started working on your order, we will provide credit for a future order. Absolutely no refunds within 48 hours prior of pickup, therefore your deposit will be forfeited.
